UPDATE: Suspect Dead In NASCAR’S Bobby East, Stabbing Death By Homeless Man in CA

Wednesday, July 13th, Trent William Millsap, 27years old, a homeless man, allegedly stabbed NASCAR’s star Bobby East, in the chest, at a California gas station.

It was reported that the stabbing occurred, as Bobby fueled his vehicle at a Westminster gas station. Before stabbing East, Millsap was accused of stabbing another man at the gas station. East was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to a statement at the time by Police to the Daily Mail-

According to Yahoo, Bobby East was the son of USAC Hall of Fame car builder Bob East adding-

With violence among California’s homeless population a leading factor, East’s murder comes at a time of increasing violence across California. Earlier in the week, former U.S. Olympian, Kim Glass, was the victim of an unprovoked assault by a homeless man in Los Angeles, who reportedly threw a metal object at her face.

District Attorney Todd Spitzer, in Orange County, where Westminster is located, is also dealing with a spike in violence, as several 7-Elevens in his jurisdiction were robbed this week, in a string of violent attacks that left two dead. Investigations there are also ongoing.

Under intense criticism for his soft-on-crime approach, which has helped lead to spiking rates of violent crime, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, is facing a recall election. In the same way, fellow Soros-backed DA, Chesa Boudin, was removed from his position in San Francisco, Glascon is about to get the boot.

According to The Hill –

“Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón (D) is facing a second recall attempt as critics argue that his progressive policies are too soft on crime, making him the latest California prosecutor in recent months to face the possibility of a recall.”

And…

“715,833 signatures have been collected by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, according to a raw count announced last weekend, which capped off the first step in their review of petitions. Several more steps must be successfully completed before Los Angeles County residents are ultimately asked whether Gascón should be ousted. The earliest a possible recall could take place would be Nov. 8.”
