Arrested this month after allegedly stealing nearly $12,500 worth of merchandise from a Macy’s department store, were four border crossers, who had been bused from Texas to New York City.
On Monday, the Nassau County Police Department in Long Island, New York, announced the arrests of 30-year-old Jose Garcia Escobar, 21-year-old Miguel Angel Rojas, 19-year-old Wrallan Cabezas Meza, and 27-year-old Rafael Rojas, for allegedly shoplifting at Macy’s. They were apparently fleeing the store, in a vehicle which was observed to be being driven, in violation of the law, when they were caught.

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of four individuals for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 8:33 p.m. in East Garden City.
Third Precinct Officers responded to Macy’s, 630 Old Country Road, for a Larceny committed by four men who fled the location in a 4-door BMW. Units began canvasing the immediate area and located the subjects driving eastbound on Ring Road while committing multiple traffic infractions.
Officers conducted a vehicle and traffic law stop of the vehicle and recovered $12,489.00 worth of unpaid merchandise which was returned to Macy’s. Wrallan Cabezas Meza, 19, of 1135 Evergreen Avenue in the Bronx, Jose Garcia Escobar, 30, of 1061 Saint Nicholas Street in Manhattan, Miguel Angel Rojas, 21, and Rafael Rojas, 27, both of 440 W. 57th Street in Manhattan were all arrested without further incident.

All four defendants were charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree. Defendant Meza was issued multiple traffic citations. All four defendants were arraigned on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead. Defendant’s Escobar and Rafael Rojas were released with no bail.
All of these illegal aliens, were newly arrived border crossers, who were bused from Texas to New York City, under Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) plan to send migrant buses to sanctuary jurisdictions. In total, nearly $12,500 worth of merchandise was recovered from these illegals. Escobar and Rafael Rojas were subsequently released from jail without bail, however it remains unclear if Meza and Angel Rojas remain in jail on bail.
Meza crossed the United States-Mexico border on July 4, 2022, while the others arrived at the border months later in September, according to the New York Post. All of them were put on buses by the state of Texas and relocated to New York City.
The Post reports, that Angel Rojas and Rafael Rojas, have been living, rent-free, at the Westin Hotel in Manhattan. Certainly, none of them, appreciate what has been done for them to date as illegal trespassers here, and have now demonstrated a contempt for the laws here in the United States, in multiple ways.
Recently, a whistleblower called out New York’s Mayor, Eric Adams’ (D) plan, that gives lucrative city contracts, to a number of hotels willing to house migrants arriving on buses. These privileged border crossers have been said to fight hotel staff, be drinking all day, and having sex in public, among other things, according to the whistleblower.
So as to relieve New York City of the burden of accepting tens of thousands of border crossers that have arrived since last spring, last week, Adams pleaded with President Joe Biden, to create a federal program that would “fairly distribute” illegal immigration across the U.S. .
This is flagrant abuse of our laws, resisting police, disregard for the services provided them and reckless endangerment of the citizens of New York. This is happening all because the Biden administration allows these illegal migrants to remain inside our borders. The cost keeps climbing in many ways.
Gratefully, the goods stolen were returned to Macy’s, but what of the next time they do this? This has got to stop. America’s economy, citizens and laws will continue to be challenged and disregarded, until our border is secure. The blame for this anarchy lays directly at the feet of Joe Biden and his democratic “handlers” in Washington.
