House Republicans are demanding answers from the CDC Director on the agency's scientific basis for its guidance on coronavirus and kids in school.
The guidance, which includes forcing kids into masks, has been criticized as nonsensical and harmful to social and education development.
Of course, anyone with common sense knows these guidelines are totally ridiculous. Especially when you consider the low numbers of kids harmed by COVID and the incredibly high numbers of adults who attend massive public events unmasked.
Republicans are right to demand answers from the CDC, and we hope they get them. It's time for this agency to start making decisions based on science, not politics.
