“We’ll Have a Mugshot Ready for You”, Fulton County Sheriff Promises Trump

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat promised that former President Donald Trump would have a mugshot, if indicted in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s investigation. Reportedly, the development occurred in the late hours of the night into the morning, on Tuesday.

Released late Monday night into Tuesday morning, a 98-page, 41-count indictment, revealed that Trump and 18 other co-defendants have been indicted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.  Two weeks ago, when an indictment still remained uncertain, Sheriff Labat promised that Trump would find himself with a formal mugshot should he be accused of committing a crime in that investigation. Sheriff Labat was quoted as saying, in reference to Trump-

“Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status, we’ll have a mugshot ready for you,”

With the indictments presented - being highly bizarre, the comments few in number, and the speculation largely twisted into a larger platform, each indictment is put forward as indicating “an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy”. Persons have literally been charged for asking for a phone number or statements made in a tweet.

These allegations are twisted at best, and represent a partisan effort to find fault with Trump and his allies, to prosecute the former President. They hope ultimately to stop him from winning the GOP nomination,  run for the White House in 2024.

Early Tuesday morning Trump’s lawyers responded to the indictment, deeming it “undoubtedly just as flawed and unconstitutional as this entire process has been.” Trump exclaimed, inquiring why he was not indicted two and a half years ago. Trump said on Truth Social-

“So, the Witch Hunt continues! 19 people Indicated [sic] tonight, including the former President of the United States, me, by an out of control and very corrupt District Attorney who campaigned and raised money on, ‘I will get Trump,’” …“And what about those Indictment Documents put out today, long before the Grand Jury even voted, and then quickly withdrawn? Sounds Rigged to me!” adding…“Because they wanted to do it right in the middle of my political campaign. Witch Hunt!”

Jumping to Trump’s defense, some Republican allies commented-

• Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) remarked -“Same playbook. New partisan DA trying to make a name for themselves,” …“Another sham indictment of Trump timed to do maximum damage in the 2024 election—this time with the indictment posted before the grand jury even voted—is no coincidence,”…adding… “Americans see through this witch hunt.”

• House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said-“Justice should be blind, but Biden has weaponized government against his leading political opponent to interfere in the 2024 election,” …“Now a radical DA in Georgia is following Biden’s lead by attacking President Trump and using it to fundraise her political career,” …adding… “Americans see through this desperate sham.”

“These social media shaming’s bear an uncanny resemblance to medieval witch hunts.” …”If you were accused of being a witch back then, you were shit out of luck. Being accused was all it took. Forget “innocent until proven guilty.” Nobody bothered to prove your guilt. Nobody dared to speak up on your behalf, for fear of being called a witch sympathizer. Because if you were seen as the friend of a witch, you were the next one to be accused of being a witch…
