For Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) this is what you say when you want to throw salt on the Democratic pot that is boiling whether it needs it or not. It becomes a “flash in the pan” so to speak and gains you a higher vapor content for a hot minute. But it gets you noticed. She is so late to this party it’s not even funny.
Lightfoot considers herself important because she can find something to add to the Leftist platform here in declaring that she and the women leaders of Chicago will collectively stand for “reproductive freedom.”
Even her own constituents see right through her.
“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next,” she tweeted on Monday. “This moment has to be a call to arms.” Adding “We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”
Talk about fearmongering at its’ best. A SOAP Opera couldn’t be anymore twisted than the Leftist extremism that is embodied by Mayor Lightfoot. She has to have a say, in a bullish - in your face sort of way, twisting the narrative to power posture herself into the limelight. Truly, she is doing her part in the MASSIVE diversion that is the boiling Democratic pot at this juncture.
The left has lost its’ grip on reality, civility, responsibility and what it means to be a free country. The Democratic Party as a whole is fraught with radical fringe politicians who like nothing better than to continue to stir that already boiling pot. Sadly, there are too many of them to review here.
From abortion rights (reproductive rights) to interracial marriage, gay marriage, contraception availability – the radical left is rolling it all out, in their extrapolation of possibilities related to any upcoming Roe v Wade decision. However, the unchecked / unbridled emotionalism, currently in play, has caused them to hunt down and haunt the sitting Supreme Court Justices along with their families, so they can hold vigils, hurl obscenities and epithets to discredit, intimidate and harass these sworn public servants (even their children). It’s despicable.
The left simply does not care about who or what they roll over, so long as they get noticed and possibly change the narrative into something they desire. This is much like a petulant child who cannot hear “no” or “wait please”. The incivility they display is the result of their lack of responsibility for their own actions.
To their selfish, woke minds they deserve to be granted whatever they wish – irrespective of the cost to others. The work of a free people is often collaborating with others for the common good, such as in our representative form of government. It is what makes America truly great.
Democrats can no longer comprehend how not to burn others while they play with matches. Further, they don’t care who gets torched.
