By a vote of 217 to 213 on Friday evening, the Democrat-led House of Representatives passed “assault weapons” bill, H.R. 1808, which was sponsored by Rep. David Cicillene (D-RI)
After the bill was passed Cicillene tweeted-
“The House just passed my bill, H.R. 1808, the Senate must do the same.”

Intending to hold a vote on this bill on Wednesday, Democrats had to pull the legislation after realizing they might not have the votes. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) reportedly warned that Democrats were working behind the scenes to rally enough support to vote on the measure. The legislation passed, on Friday, is not expected to pass the 50-50 Senate.
Reported by Breitbart News on July 21 of this year, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) estimated that there were over 24 million AR and AK-style rifles in circulation, meaning that there are more AK and AR-style rifles in circulation “than Ford F-Series trucks on the road.”
Criticizing Friday’s passage of the ban, for the tactics Democrats used to secure its passage, NSSF general counsel Larry Keane, stated-
“This legislation is as dangerous as it is revealing of the contempt for which the House Democrats hold for the Constitution and the U.S. Supreme Court.”
Keane added,
“Chairman Jerrold Nadler admitted during debate in his committee that he didn’t care the legislation was unconstitutional and defied Supreme Court precedent. Democratic representatives are not fulfilling the interest of ‘the People,’ instead representing special-interest gun control groups that seek to disarm law-abiding citizens and scapegoat them for crimes committed by others.”

In his address before the House, Representative Tom Cole (R-OK), Ranking Member of the House Rules Committee encapsulated his opposition, to not only this bill as a Constructional violation, but to efforts by the majority members of the house, in using taxpayers time and funds to make a political statement.
Knowing that this bill will likely not pass in the Senate is a positive, however that the Democratic majority in the house would deliberately attack Americans Second amendment rights, is beyond believable. Capable of just about actively doing, promoting and seeking to twist the law in anyway that floats their political boat – Democrats have shown that they formally do not respect the Constitution of the United States of America, no matter what lip service they provide to the contrary.
You cannot be FOR America, if you are AGAINST the foundation upon its which it’s built. There is no getting around that fact. This Democratic party led by their “blunderer and chief”, Joe Biden and his administrative cronies, will be the undoing of America if they are not stopped. If they’ll ban our weapons, what’s next?
