Late on Christmas Eve, three buses of border crossers arrived from Texas to Vice President Kamala Harris’s Washington, DC, residence. As with other migrants sent to her residence, Harris, did not greet the arrivals.
Sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), who has been sending migrant buses to the location for months now, these buses, carrying some 130 border crossers arrived to Harris’s residence near the Naval Observatory. Initially set to arrive in New York City on Christmas Day, buses had been rerouted as a result of road closures because of the below freezing weather.
As these border crossers arrived at Harris’s residence, many were carrying blankets to keep warm but were dressed in nothing more than t-shirts and sandals. Reportedly, soon after their arrival, these illegal aliens were bused to a nearby church for shelter. In a statement issued by the White House, a Biden Administration spokesperson said-
“Governor Abbott abandon children on the side of the road in below freezing temperatures on Christmas Eve without coordinating with any federal or local authorities… this was a cruel and shameful stunt”.

With the burden of record-setting illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border, under President Joe Biden’s administrative policies, Abbott had initially started the migrant buses-to-sanctuary-cities operation, to relieve Texans of the overwhelming cost and responsibility of this lack of adherence to U.S. Immigration law. This recent busing is a continuing example of Texas, a stake-holder in this battle, of protecting itself by bringing the problem of illegal immigration to national attention. Abbott is literally bringing the border to Harris, since the VP refuses to visit the border herself.
In a statement issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security it was stated that –
“ individuals and families attempting to enter without authorization or being expelled, as required by court order under the title 42 public health authority or placed into removal proceedings”

Title 42, the border states’ last protection, against an onslaught of illegal migrants, hangs in the balance and could be lifted at any time. The Biden administration seeks to end the public health clause initiated by the Trump administration and is opposing the suit brought by border states to have it remain in place. The case has been taken up by the Supreme Court, which could rule on the matter any day.
Eclipsing this year’s record of about 2.3 million border encounters, the Biden administration is projected to oversee 2.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens arriving at the border next year. Many of those illegals apprehended, are reported to be briefly detained before being released on their own into American towns and cities.
Estimates indicate that the Biden administration has released some 1.4 million border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior between February 2021 through October 2022. The cost to American taxpayers, the cities these illegals affect and the states they reside in, has reached an economic breaking point. Even democratically controlled, said to be sanctuary cities and states, are declaring emergencies and seeking federal funding to handle the burden. Essentially, with release of these illegal migrants, nationwide at this point, – all of America is now a border town.
Reportedly, the Los Angeles Times, in a recent poll, finds that a 65 percent majority of Americans say they oppose Biden’s expansive catch and release network, preferring to have these illegal aliens detained or sent to Mexico while awaiting their asylum hearings. Apparently however, the Biden administration continues to solidify its’ position that America has little to say about how U.S. Immigration policy is handled.
Let’s see what the new congress with the U.S. House, led by a Republican majority, has to say about the matter. Meanwhile, the onslaught of illegal immigrants at the nations’ southern border continues.
“Part of the problem is there are people in Washington, D.C. in positions of power to whom the border is just a nuisance, and I think some of them believe that illegal immigration is a moral good. It is not. It undermines legal immigration.”
