Biden’s’ Education Department Makes It A Title IX Violation To “Categorically Ban” Trans Athletes From Sports

Moving to block schools that receive federal funding from “categorically” banning biological males from girls’ sports,

the Biden administration’s Education Department is proposing a rule that makes doing so a policy violation of  Title IX. This proposed rule, would deny or interrupt federal funding to schools that violate this interpretation of the law, essentially using the withholding of federal funds, as a deterrent to public school policies, as established by their local school boards, protected by their state  – all voted in place by parents.

Announcing the the proposal, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona said in his statement that every-

“student should be able to have the full experience of attending school in America, including participating in athletics, free from discrimination.”

The Department of Education said, that it’s proposed rule, would-

“establish that policies violate Title IX when they categorically ban transgender students from participating on sports teams consistent with their gender identity just because of who they are.” [adding it recognizes]…“in some instances, particularly in competitive high school and college athletic environments, some schools may adopt policies that limit transgender students’ participation.” and “Under the proposed regulation, schools would not be permitted to adopt or apply a one-size-fits-all policy that categorically bans transgender students from participating on teams consistent with their gender identity,”

The Department, in instituting this proposed rule, hopes to provide a framework (some might consider it governmental blackmail) for schools to develop criteria, and adopt policies (bow to the socialist platform) that protect transgender students from-

“being denied equal athletic opportunity, while giving schools the flexibility to develop their own participation policies.”

This clear form of overreach into public school policies, on behalf of the socialist transgender movement, has little to do with any kind of discrimination and more to do with a socialist ideology that says – we oppose established rules by public schools, who are governed by State and local authorities. We want the federal government to pull funding for those State and locally run schools if they don’t meet our social requirements.

This proposal is yet another ‘in road’ into America’s schools who take federal funding to make mostly low-income projects possible. The Education Department is essentially holding poorer students’ captive, to the Biden administrations’ socialist ideology. Sadly, they are attempting to add yet a longer leash, for accepting government funding of any kind. It’s the poor who will ultimately pay the price in lost opportunities, unless those in authority speak up.

Parents, school boards, individual state and local authorities should be weighing in on this proposal before the Biden administration gets this insidious foot hold, on America’s education and leaves its socialist foot print squarely where it does not belong. Each child should receive an education, free of socialistic theory – not an indoctrination, which subjects students in sports, who participate, to be undermined in their athletic achievements by literal biological differences.
