At a press conference at the White House, to discuss the midterm election results, President Biden argued that Democrats had a “strong night”, even though there was strong possibility of losing their majority in the House of Representatives.
After Democrats seemingly did better than expected, on Wednesday, for their predictions of a Republican “red wave” in the midterm elections, President Joe Biden taunted the media, pundits, and pollsters, telling Americans he would not change his policies. Biden said-
“I’m not going to change anything in any fundamental way,”

When asked by reporters about the future of his agenda and what he would change, Biden replied,
“Nothing.” arguing [voters are] “just finding out what we’re doing” [on inflation], claiming “The more they [voters] know about what we’re doing, the more support there is,”

Mocking predictions of a Republican takeover in the midterms, Biden declared-
“While the press and the pundits are predicting a giant red wave, it didn’t happen,” [dismissing pollsters he added] “I don’t look at them much anymore. I’m not quite sure how to read them anymore,”

These particular comments, were regarding pollsters finding that Americans were demonstrating frustration, over the high costs associated with inflation.
On Wednesday, Biden said he would speak with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy about working together when he became the speaker. He said-
“I’m prepared to work with my Republican colleagues,” he said. “And the American people have made clear, I think, that they expect Republicans to be prepared to work with me as well.”

However, Biden indicated that he would not budge, on cutting taxes on the wealthy, walking back green energy investments, cutting Social Security, or limits on abortion. Mockingly he declared-
“I have a simple proposition. I have a pen that can veto,”

The president chided Republicans saying they were struggling politically, and likely would increasingly walk away from former President Donald Trump’s political movement. When one reporter noted that Trump’s movement was still strong, Biden chuckled and replied-
“Oh yeah?” …“I don’t think we’re gonna break the fever for the Super–Mega–MAGA Republicans… I think they’re a minority of the Republican Party,”

Well, Joe if they are such a minority, why did you harp for weeks straight before the mid-terms, warning the public about - “MAGA, MAGA, MAGA”? Really?
It would seem that the prideful arrogance of this president, is only outflanked by his cognitive decline. With the election results still pending, congressional control hanging in the balance and run offs predicted – it would seem a little restraint would be in order.
Not so with this leader of the free world. Go ahead ASSUME Joe – see where it takes you. America, who you are taunting, is listening. You personally have a lot at stake in the days to come. We’ll be watching and listening for those same smug replies, when you are indicted by House Republicans in January of 2023.
