A North Penn School District 5th grade teacher is in hot water after making white students apologize to black classmates for their skin color.
According to outraged parents, the teacher had the children line up from lightest to darkest and made them apologize.
This outrageous act of segregation has sparked national outrage, and the school district is now under fire.
The school district has made meaningless gestures to try and appease the parents, but in reality they are doing nothing except state that the action was part of a “race walk” exercise designed to teach about prejudice.
North Penn Superintendent Dr. Curtis Dietrich said: “I was surprised when I heard about this incident because North Penn is a very diverse district with students and staff from all walks of life.”
But the parents aren’t buying it, and they are calling for the teacher to be fired immediately.
This is just another example in a long line of race-based incidents that have been taking place in our schools. It’s time for us to stand up against these injustices and demand change.
