 November 21, 2022

Following a record-breaking poll by Twitter owner Elon Musk, former President Trump’s Twitter account has been restored, but Trump says he won’t be returning. Trump said-

“Truth Social has been very, very powerful, very, very strong, and I’ll be staying there.”

Following the poll posted by Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, Bloomberg reported that, former President Trump’s account on the platform, after being removed almost 2 years ago, has been restored. The poll done by Musk, brought in 15 million votes, with 51.8 percent voting in favor of Trump’s reinstatement. Musk then tweeted-

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated”

Trump, it seems however, doesn’t plan on returning to the website anytime soon. The former president said he sees “a lot of problems at Twitter” and will remain on his own social-media platform, Truth Social.

By video link, in a speech Trump gave at the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas, Trump reportedly said-

“I hear we’re getting a big vote to also go back on Twitter. I don’t see it because I don’t see any reason for it. It may make it, it may not make it.” Adding of Truth Social…[it]“has taken the place for a lot of people, and I don’t see them going back onto Twitter.”

Trump went on to say, on Saturday, that he supported Musk’s $44 billion purchase of Twitter, but purportedly also claimed that the platform’s problems are “terrible,” with issues like negative engagement and fake accounts.

“Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think.”
