On Saturday, former President Donald Trump, once again talked about overhauling the administrative state, telling a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas that-
“As we secure the border, another key priority for the next Congress and the next President will be to drain the swamp once and for all to remove rogue bureaucrats and root out the deep state. Congress should pass groundbreaking reform empowering the president to ensure that any federal employee who is corrupt, incompetent, or unnecessary for the job can be told, “You’re fired.” You ever heard that? You’re fired.”

If he returns to the White House in 2024, according to recent reports, Trump would use his Schedule F executive order to fire nearly 50,000 government bureaucrats. In a recent speech, at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit last month, Trumps statements seemed to confirm these reports as he referenced the same executive order.
Currently the process to remove a federal bureaucrat from their post, is a lengthy process, taking an average of five years, Trump complained-
“Our current appeals process to remove these bureaucrats, people that can really be bad, they can even be thieves. You can catch them stealing large sums of money. You have to go through a three-stage appeals process, which takes on average five years per stage. 15 years you’ll be gone; you’ll be out of office by then.”

Other politicians are essentially discouraged from starting the bureaucrat removal process, because it takes longer than their terms in office, Trump claimed-
“In other words, to fire someone who is doing a bad job, if the government wins, will take more than a decade under the current system. Almost all politicians won’t start that process because they’ll be gone and they know it,” adding-
You know a lot of politicians, they go into Washington, they’re all set. And then they get caught up with people that say, ‘Hey, I’ll be here a hell of a lot longer than you will,’ and the politician just goes about having nice dinners. We can’t do it anymore. We’ve got to run this country properly, because it’s time to clean house in Washington, D.C., and we did a lot of it but nobody knew that deep state was that deep. We did a lot of it.”

According to a straw poll conducted at CPAC in Dallas, though Trump has not officially announced a 2024 presidential run, he would have a majority support of the Republican Party. Receiving a 45 percent higher support percentage, than the next closest challenger, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), at 24 percent, Trump won 69 percent of the vote.
That there is a genuine clandestine 4th administrative “branch” of the government, that is not Constituionally established, is frightening. This deep state division, that choses how laws play out and what is best for America, as they see it, needs to be uncovered for the cancer it is. It needs cut out, however painful, so the America, this nation loves will survive, rather than be subverted in it’s operations by these persons.
Congress knows this group of individuals are a large part of the problem, yet they are politically motivated as a group to work, to keep the progressive-left democratic machine percolating. A major overhaul of Congress will be required to see an easier removal process of these deep state bureaucrats, put into place.
Trump, if he runs, will need the GOP to get its act together and support him, and voters, to the extent that those ineffective or downright antagonistic Republicans, hanging around near the top, may be required to fall on their swords – to make a clean sweep of the swamp possible. Business as usual, that keeps Republican dead weight in office, is not the way to achieve real change. If they won’t be a part of the solution, then let them relinquish their post to someone who will.
America needs representation, that is devoted to the Constitution, not their own agendas, vendetta’s or other distractions, that ultimately rob U.S. tax-payers of time and resources. This nation is at cross-roads and every citizen needs to take the med-term elections seriously. To not do so, is to seal America’s fate at the hands of the progressive left, who are actively pursing a Socialist America without regard for the Constitution, the Bill of rights and the rule of law.
