From his platform, Truth Social on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump continued his attacks against billionaire Elon Musk saying he’d be “worthless” without government subsidies.
Trump said, recalling the billionaire’s visit to the White House during his presidency, that Musk wanted government subsidies for many of his projects. He also noted that Musk offered big promises without delivering many rewards.
Further, Trump said that when Elon Musk came to the White House, he asked Trump for help on many of his projects: electric cars that Trump says don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that still crash, and rocket ships to nowhere. He added that he (Trump) believes, that without these subsidies Musk would be worthless. Trump also indicated that Musk at the time, said how big a Trump fan he was. He added-
“I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it,”

His comments regarding Elon Musk, on Truth Social, came after he referred to the billionaire as a “bullshit artist” following his backing out of the acquisition of Twitter. Trump continued-
“He’s got himself a mess, you know, he said the other day, ‘I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said I didn’t know that. He told me he voted for me. So, he’s another bullshit artist but he’s not going to be buying it, although he might later,” and…

Musk’s response was short. He tweeted-
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency,”

One Twitter blogger expressed his thoughts to Musk this way-
“When people like you (Musk) tell him to hang it up, is what makes people want him even more. Trump started a movement that isn’t slowing down. MAGA will move on with or without him. But when you say hang up your hat, MAGA will stand behind Him. Family can pick on family outsiders can’t.”
