On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump, announced his intention to sue CNN. Historically, CNN has been one of the prime purveyors of what Trump has famously deemed “fake news,” over “repeated defamatory statements” against him. He also warned other media outlets that he will take similar action against them as well.
In a statement Trump declared-
“I have notified CNN of my intent to file a lawsuit over their repeated defamatory statements against me. And …“I will also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarding the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 2020 Election,”… he added he would “never stop fighting for the truth and for the future of our Country!”

Addressed to CNN’s Chief Executive Officer Chris Licht as well as CNN’s executive Vice President and General Counsel David Vigilante, Trumps 282-page letter demands the network publish what is described as-
“…a full and fair correction, apology, or retraction, in the same editions or corresponding issues of the website publication in which the aforementioned articles, transcripts, or broadcasts appeared and in as conspicuous a place and type as said original article, transcript or broadcast within ten (10) days from the date of service of this notice,…adding “Failure to publish such a correction, apology, or retraction will result in the filing of a lawsuit and damages being sought against you, CNN,”

The letter details several examples of what Trump’s team contends is defamation. Listed first, the topic is the 2016 election, in which Trump’s team notes that CNN-
“repeatedly allowed for assertions that President Trump was illegitimately elected” — assertions that went “largely unchallenged.”

Contending that CNN’s reporting was defamatory, as the letter focused on the 2020 election, it declared-
“both before the election as well as after the election, consistently fed a narrative that denounced President Trump’s legitimacy and competency”

Other examples in the InfrahLaw letter include:
CNN’s reporting appears, as portrayed in an undercover video, to be results-oriented. An employee was filmed discussing their coverage of the 2020 presidential election. Boasting that CNN helped to defeat President Trump in the 2020 election, the employee called CNN reporting “propaganda.” Stating-
“Look at what we did, we got Trump out…I am 100% going to say it. And I 100% believe it that if it wasn’t for CNN, I don’t know that Trump would have got voted out.”

While America can choose to hate CNN’s behavior, for its alleged biased and inflammatory reporting, this development from the Trump camp of it taking on the media, in a fight over Americas freedoms and the truth - is likely a welcome move to Trump supporters. They, above all citizens, realize that most of the corporate media, is totally in bed with the liberal left, and doing all it can to prevent Trump from making a successful third run at the White House. So much media and government collusion against him, has been uncovered of late, that the average citizen can’t keep up with the developments. It’s what you get when you disturb alligators in the swamp.
Trump is likely taking no chances this time. Making sure he that is on the offensive side of the media, instead of playing defense, this is where Trump is at his best!
