On this segment of Fox News “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, guest host, former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard takes a look back at Rush Limbaugh's predictions, about our current cancel culture. Showing a clip from Limbaugh’s’ 1993 show, Rush clearly calls out the state of America in 2022. He was truly ahead of his time.
Tulsi goes on to say that thirty years ago, Rush made this uncanny prediction, as to where our society would end up.
Rush, in describing the situation here, states “I care more than you” – telling the audience, in his example, that they are likely all – “bigots, racists, sexists and homophobes, and likely are white…”, and European” emphasizing that “you alone are responsible for the state America”, relating all to the ribbons he is wearing - because “you don’t have these ribbons” (a demonstration of their group) and how much “they care”. He describes our cancel culture to the tee.
Watching this video of Rush, helps to understand his point a little better. He isolates himself (and those who wear his specific ribbons from everyone else) who are under constant scrutiny for not conforming to his/their standard – with everyone else gets labeled in some way.
The indication, he is trying to impart, is that the ribbons represent a mind-set of superiority, that holds everyone to a standard that everyone is measured by, except the wearer and their compatriots.
Tulsi further said that, this is the same reason, that she left the Democratic party, in that literally everyone is constantly under scrutiny, seeking to make sure everyone has all their “ribbons” adequately affixed to their lapels. There is no room to agree to disagree, if you don’t have or sport “all” of them. The name calling and labeling is prolific according to Gabbard. She states, among other things that –

You have to constantly prove yourself”. “They (the left) are trying to divide us (America), racializing everything, stoking anti-white racism, working to undermine our God-given freedoms that are enshrined in our constitution. Rush Limbaugh saw this thirty years ago”

That Limbaugh, was such ahead of his time, in predicting the current state of the Democratic party, and our nation is without saying - a pretty amazing thing. A good judge of character, Rush was usually ahead of most. This particular segment reaches back three decades, and accurately calls out the progressive liberal-left in a way only Rush could do. Thanks Rush, for reminding us that there’s nothing new under the sun, and that you were “on it” ahead of the rest of us. Thanks for always serving up the truth as you saw it.
