On Monday night, Politico published an alleged decision regarding a possible overturn to Roe v. Wade. The steps of the Supreme Court were sieged by both pro-life activists and Pro-Abortion Groups alike. The potential of overturning Roe v. Wade has made many of the Left and Woke squirm and scramble in protest but has made many conservatives excited.
Abortion rights were first established in 1973 by the Supreme Court which declared abortion to be protected by the U.S. Constitution in Roe v. Wade, and now, 46 years later, there is a very real possibility that they could be overturned. And its about time. Over an estimated 63 million abortions have taken place since 1973. Thats a sickening number of murders, and innocent lives lost.
The Pro-life group in support, The Students for Life, president Kristan Hawkins said in a tweet, “Ending preborn human life is and has always been a judicial error. The court cannot allow the bullying tactics of the left combined with the threat of chaos cause by an unprecedented leak to change the right course — the end of Roe,”
In response to the leak which was eventually confirmed early Tuesday morning by the Chief Justice; John G. Roberts, Jr., provided the following statement:
"To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way.
We at the Court are blessed to have a workforce – permanent employees and law clerks alike – intensely loyal to the institution and dedicated to the rule of law. Court employees have an exemplary and important tradition of respecting the confidentiality of the judicial process and upholding the trust of the Court. This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here.
I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak."
As the nation waits with bated breath to see what the Supreme Court will ultimately do and decide, for pro-life activists, this is a long-awaited opportunity to finally overturn the landmark decision that ended so many lives.
