Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) Expresses “Extreme Concern” Over Joe Biden Administration’s Rescue Plan for Stranded Americans in Ukraine

Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) expressed his "extreme concern" in a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday over the Joe Biden administration's plan to rescue American citizens stranded in Ukraine.

The plan, which has not been made public, would involve sending military personnel and equipment to help evacuate the Americans.

Budd urged the administration to provide more information on the plan and its risks, saying that he was "troubled by the lack of transparency" in its development.

He also raised concerns about the possibility of conflict with Russia, which has been supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine.

"I urge you to work closely with our European allies to develop a coordinated response that takes into account the potential for increased Russian aggression," Budd wrote.

So far, the administration has not responded to Budd's letter. American citizens have been stranded in Ukraine since fighting broke out between government forces and pro-Russian separatists.

More than 200 people have been killed, including 11 Americans. This is yet another foreign policy failure of the Biden administration, only time will tell just how bad things will really get.
