Rand Paul Claims Biden's Immigration Failures Alone Disqualify Him From 2nd Term

 June 22, 2024

Senator Rand Paul criticizes President Joe Biden's border management, linking it directly to terrorism and criminal activities by illegal immigrants, questioning eligibility for reelection. Paul has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden's approach to U.S. immigration policies.

Breitbart reported that in a recent statement, Paul highlighted the increasing concerns regarding both terrorism and regular criminal behavior instigated by illegal immigrants who have entered the U.S. from various countries, including Tajikistan, Egypt, Tunisia, China, and others across the Middle East.

Paul firmly believes that the influx of these individuals is a direct result of Biden's administration's failure to enforce strict border control.

He argued that this laxity has led to not only terrorism but also to severe criminal activities, including cases of murder. The senator implicated Biden's policies in these issues, emphasizing their potential severity on national security.

Paul's Criticism of Biden's Immigration Policies

According to Paul, the current administration actively permits the entry of these individuals, ultimately placing American citizens at risk.

He pointed out specific incidents where people paroled by Biden's policies have committed crimes within the U.S. "You know, I agree with you. Terrorism is of great concern... But it's not just terrorism. It's regular domestic criminal behavior... They [immigrants] were paroled. They decided that it was OK for them to come into this country," commented Paul.

Furthermore, Senator Paul detailed how these issues are exacerbated by policies in Democrat-led sanctuary cities, where local regulations prevent immigration authorities from accessing arrest records.

This, he said, creates a dysfunction that allows arrested immigrants to remain in the U.S. despite committing crimes.

"And then when they were arrested for a variety of crimes... nobody did anything about it because they were in Democrat cities that are sanctuary cities that being arrested for a crime is not enough to be deported," explained Paul.

He blames this systemic failure for allowing criminal behaviors by illegal immigrants to persist, arguing that the administration's oversight and these local policies work in tandem to undermine national security.

Paul also took issue with Biden's proposed immigration reform.

He is highly critical of the plan, which suggests allowing 2,500 immigrants to enter the U.S. per day. "So, yeah, this is all on Biden’s shoulders, and then he comes forward with a reform... Well, 2,500 people a day is 900,000 people," Paul stated, arguing that such numbers only underscore the lax approach of the current administration toward immigration.

Call for Stricter Border Control Policies

Senator Paul has advocated for a zero-tolerance border policy, opposing the current procedures that allow immigrants to be paroled.

"Biden has the power to have zero, and that’s what I would do. I think that’s what Trump would do. Zero. Everybody is turned around and guess what? They quit coming once they see that people are being turned away," he declared, suggesting that a firmer stance would deter illegal immigration significantly.

In conclusion, Senator Rand Paul's severe critique of President Biden's border policies underscores a broad concern over national security and the management of illegal immigration.

By attributing terrorism and crime directly to these policies, Paul raises substantial questions regarding the administration's capacity to protect U.S. citizens and maintain sovereign border control. His call for stricter regulations and a complete overhaul of how immigrants are processed at the border is a clear indication of his stance on the immigration debate, setting a stage for further political discourse as the country heads towards electoral decisions.
