In a long overdue move, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, has barred Speaker of the House of Representatives from receiving Holy Communion. This is a sacred rite in which the faithful, ritually consume bread and wine blessed by a priest as a central rite in the Catholic Church. Nancy is definitely not faithful.
Reportedly, Father Cordileone had apparently previously warned Pelosi to-
“publicly repudiate your advocacy for abortion ‘rights’ or else refrain from referring to your Catholic faith in public and receiving Holy Communion”.

Pelosi who claims to be a lifelong Catholic, has now been forbid from presenting herself for this rite. Her extremist position, stating that she would work to bring about a law, to assure women the continued right to abortions, was in direct violation of Father Cordileone’s admonition. This recently renewed stand by her, came after the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v Wade, which guaranteed access to abortions nationwide. This however, was the tipping point for Father Cordileone.
In his letter today, the archbishop told US Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi that she is barred from receiving communion because of her ongoing support for abortion rights. He stated-
“As you have not publicly repudiated your position on abortion, and continue to refer to your Catholic faith in justifying your position and to receive Holy Communion, that time has now come,”… “I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance,”

CatholicVote, a national faith-based advocacy organization, commended Cordileone for his action. On behalf of the organization, their president was quoted as saying-
“Catholics across America commend Archbishop Cordileone and his pastoral leadership in handling the scandal posed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. For too long Catholic public officials have created confusion and disunity by advocating for policies that destroy innocent human life – in direct contradiction of the teachings of the Catholic faith,”

With the lives (or deaths) of millions of babies on her hands, hopefully Pelosi will consider what she is actually advocating for. While she touts Pro-Choice, these destroyed lives have NO CHOICE, and now California is going to be the abortion tourist capitol of America, as they force California taxpayers to pay for everyone’s abortions. Nancy Pelosi and Gavin “Gruesome” have a lot to answer for.
