Paul Pelosi, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, was reportedly arrested and booked on two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence. This occurred over the holiday weekend , just before midnight Saturday (11:44 p.m.) in Napa County. He was booked into jail hours later, just after four o’clock in the morning, on the two counts, according to the Napa County Criminal Justice Network
Paul Pelosi was released after 7 a.m. and according to the TMZ report, the description of the 82-year-old matches with his publicly known description, particularly his birthday which is April 15, 1940. The exact details of the arrest have yet to be released. Bail was set at $5,000.
There has yet to be any official statement from the speaker, herself, or any of her children and immediate family at this time. Her spokesperson, Drew Hammill, said:
“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”

Apparently, Nancy was the commencement speaker at Brown University, a private Ivy League research university in Providence, Rhode Island. Pelosi’s office live-streamed her “Commencement Oration to 2022 graduates” which was funded by taxpayers. She apparently also received an honorary doctorate degree from Brown University.
If Paul Pelosi was out driving under the influence, while she was clear across the country at a commencement, there was sure to be some “fur fly” when Nancy returned home. America hears very little of Mr. Nancy Pelosi – and to be sure this is not the kind of family publicity that the speaker needs at the moment.
One ingenious blogger, on Breitbart, responded to the news-

It’s obvious that it isn’t a lack of personal responsibility but rather it’s the alcohol that causes crimes like this one & even though most people can use it responsibly and never commit a crime because of alcohol, we have to take alcohol away from everyone in order to ensure perfect safety, forever. Get the bottles off of the streets! We need complete prohibition because of a few bad actors like Mr. Pelosi. Isn’t that exactly how she frames her arguments against firearms & how she’d like to legislate our gun laws?”

It would seem that Nancy cannot leave town, without getting family to look in on “dear old dad” lest he go on a bender and wind up in jail. Remember, (playing off the bloggers thoughts) it’s that evil alcohol that is to blame – Mr. Nancy Pelosi needn’t strive to use it responsibly, when Nancy can legislatively seek alcohol prohibition. Complete outlawing of all alcohol might make the world a better place, and save jail space in the long run, saving the taxpayers millions likely. After all, absolute safety should be our number one priority, right?
