Drama is brewing in the halls of justice over the Jeffrey Epstein case, and it’s not the kind of transparency conservatives were hoping for.
The Times of India reported that the saga began when the FBI and DOJ issued a joint memo declaring the case of Jeffrey Epstein— the convicted sex offender who took his own life in jail in 2019—officially closed.
Right-wing commentator and Trump aide Laura Loomer dropped a bombshell on Friday, alleging a bitter dispute between the FBI and DOJ over how the Epstein files have been handled.
FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are said to be seething over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s approach, with frustration mounting over what they see as a lack of openness.
Loomer didn’t hold back, stating, “I’m told Kash and Bongino are furious with Blondi and the blowback she has caused them.”
Well, if true, that’s a spicy nickname for Bondi, and it hints at deeper tensions than a mere policy disagreement.
Adding fuel to the fire, Loomer revealed that Bongino has taken a day off from his role as Deputy Director, prompting whispers about whether he’ll even return to the FBI.
She tweeted, “Source tells me Dan Bongino is taking the day off today.” If disgust over Bondi’s handling of the case is indeed the reason, as Loomer suggests, this could signal a serious rift at the top.
Meanwhile, MAGA supporters are up in arms, refusing to accept the narrative that Epstein operated without a client list of powerful figures tied to his notorious island and the trafficking of minors.
Patel and Bongino aren’t escaping scrutiny either, as their earlier hints of undisclosed Epstein information have left supporters feeling betrayed by the case’s sudden closure.
The frustration is palpable among conservative commentators who see this as yet another example of establishment stonewalling, a far cry from the accountability they’ve long demanded.
Loomer’s sharp words cut deep: “Someone needs to be fired.” That’s a bold call, but it reflects the sentiment of many who feel the truth is being buried.
Attorney General Bondi herself has added to the confusion, initially claiming she had an Epstein client list on her desk for review, only to later clarify she meant general documents.
This flip-flop hasn’t helped her case with a base already skeptical of government narratives, and it’s no surprise that trust in her leadership on this issue is wearing thin.
While the Epstein saga may be officially closed in the eyes of the DOJ and FBI, for many conservatives, the fight for clarity is far from over—and they’re not likely to let this rest without a fierce push for answers.
