Trump's hush-money trial in New York is set to begin soon but recent revelations about the jury procedure have raised speculation that the deck has been stacked against Trump.
Newsmax reported that Judge Juan Merchan has set the rules for jurors and the questions they may be asked. Concerningly, they may not be asked about their political party, history of voting, or past political contributions. All of those are necessary questions that could indicate if a juror is capable of being impartial and making a decision based on the facts of the case alone.
Since those questions may not be asked, Trump's attorneys will be unable to filter for political jurists who are out to see Trump convicted.
