Hillary Clinton Accuses Trump Of Being Authoritarian

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made the outrageous claim that Trump was dangerous for the nation.

The Washington Examiner reported that Clinton's recent appearance in a 45-minute discussion on the *Defending Democracy* podcast, which aired on Thursday was used to bash Trump and accuse him of being a totalitarian who wants to kill his opposition. The irony of Clinton calling Trump an authoritarian was likely lost on the podcast's audience.

In her dialogue, Clinton mainly concentrated on the influence of Trump and his supporters on the democratic fabric of the nation.

Clinton seemed to have missed the fact that Trump is facing multiple partisan indictments that are designed to damage his presidential campaign. The Democrat Party has weaponized the justice system against their political opponent and Clinton thinks it's Trump that is a threat.

Clinton Compares Trump With Authoritarian Leaders

During the interview, Clinton extensively discussed Trump's public admiration for Vladimir Putin, the Russian President. She boldly claimed that Trump wanted to rule like Putin, a claim for which she had no evidence.

"Trump was like, you know, just gaga over Putin because Putin does what Trump would like to do: Kill his opposition, imprison his opposition, drive journalists and others into exile, rule without any check or balance," Clinton stated in the podcast.

Clinton also touched on Trump's efforts to undermine and overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, drawing a direct line between these actions and tactics often deployed by authoritarian regimes.

Clinton has been allowed to make such unchecked claims for years thanks to the friendly mainstream media. But Americans have become aware that it is the Democrat Party who oppresses the opposition.

Trump Campaign Responds To Clinton's Allegations

The response from Trump's campaign to Clinton's comments was swift and harsh. A spokesperson from the campaign accused Clinton of not being able to move past her defeat in the 2016 Presidential election. They labeled her arguments as symptoms of "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and accused her of misleading the American public.

“Hillary continues to suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome and can’t seem to accept the results of the 2016 election,” said the Trump campaign spokesperson. “So she is now trying to tell herself lies, in addition to trying to gaslight the American people, into believing her own warped and perverted views.”

It's noteworthy that Trump himself has stepped away from his notorious nickname for Clinton, "Crooked Hillary," which was a hallmark of his 2016 campaign rhetoric.

Other Endeavors by Hillary Clinton

Away from the political arena, Hillary Clinton has engaged in different pursuits. Along with her daughter Chelsea Clinton, she runs HiddenLight Productions, a production company.

Their work recently earned acclaim with the documentary *In Her Hands*, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and later won an Emmy at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards last year.

Indeed, whether one agrees with Clinton's perspective or aligns with Trump's vision, the discourse she has fueled is essential as the nation approaches another presidential election cycle. In times of such political divisiveness, understanding these differing perspectives is crucial for the electorate.
