Ex-Douglas County Judge Christina Peterson has been removed from her position by the Georgia Supreme Court due to sustained misconduct, excluding her recent arrest incident.
The New York Post reported that Peterson, once the Douglas County Probate Judge, began her judicial duties in December 2020. However, her tenure quickly became controversial, with the first complaint of misconduct coming less than a year into her four-year term. These early accusations set a tone for a career that would soon face rigorous scrutiny.
Peterson faced numerous allegations amounting to 50 counts of misconduct. After an extensive investigation, the Judicial Qualifications Commission dismissed 20 of these but continued to delve into the remaining 30.

During this nightclub incident, police bodycam footage captured Peterson shouting, "Let her f–—ing go, let her f–—ing go," indicating her active interference in the ongoing security measures. Despite this, a woman allegedly involved in the altercation claimed Peterson was the only person who came to her assistance, stating, "He viciously attacked me, punched me in my face and Judge Peterson was the only one to help me."
Marvin Arrington Jr., Peterson’s lawyer, defended her actions, suggesting that she acted as a good Samaritan.
He expressed confidence that the unfolding investigation and emerging facts would fully exonerate Peterson. "As the investigation continues to unfold and more facts come to light, we believe that Judge Christina Peterson will be completely exonerated of these charges," Arrington stated at a press conference.
