This week, California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) office announced that the state is awarding $8 million in grants to 21 abortion facilities to bolster physical and data security. The statement claims that security monies are needed “as extreme politicians continue to attack access to essential reproductive health care.” This part of the statement could be made into a national platform speech, together with its’ fear mongering follow-up.
The statement also claims-
“All health care providers deserve to feel safe while offering resources and services to patients.”… “As attacks on reproductive health care continue, we’re providing resources to help ensure patients and providers feel safe and secure while accessing or providing critical reproductive health care.”

This new announcement of monies allocated, comes after California announced back in January, that the state is allocating $20 million in grant money, for abortion facilities to increase security measures. Reportedly. the grant program is called the Physical and Digital Infrastructure Security Grant Program.
It is administered by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) in coordination with the Department of Health Care Access and Information (NCAI). Reportedly, the funds will go toward offices that “may be the target of violence and vandalism,” including independent offices and Planned Parenthood facilities from Long Beach to Redding.

“This funding represents a key part of our responsibility to protect Californians from violence”… “By providing security at vulnerable healthcare locations, we can help protect everyone involved, from providers, to patients, and the surrounding community.”

When history looks back on the course California took, in preserving woman’s’ rights, Gavin Newsom wants to be seen as the leader of this movement. Together with his administration, he wants to be seen as the champion of a “woman’s right to choose”.
This battle he is waging, by throwing millions of California tax-payers dollars at, will likely be a significant talking point that he will boldly boast of, in the days to come. He knows currently there are 22 other states with him on this subject, as he is part of a coalition formed by other blue states to preserve, promote and protect this right to abort human life.
Make no mistake, this move by Newsom under the guise of “safety”, is a strategic political tactic to garner votes for future use. California does not see much in the way of ant-abortion clinic abuse or even violent sounding rhetoric. What you see in California is a staunch defense of abortion, supported by the radical left who spend more time desecrating and attacking pro-life establishments. California is already a safe place for abortion.
This is entirely in keeping with what FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted during a hearing before the Senate Homeland Security Committee of November 2022. Wray said that approximately 70 percent of abortion-related threats of violence in the United States, since the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, have been against pro-life groups.
And according to records kept by CatholicVote, there have been 86 attacks against pro-life pregnancy centers and pro-life groups, with reportedly 154 attacks against Catholic churches. This has all occurred since someone leaked the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, returning the issue of abortion to the individual states. According to a list kept by Life News demonstrates that several incidents of pro-abortion activists targeting pro-life organizations and pro-life activists, have occurred in California within the last few years.
Again, with his eye on the White House, this attention to the abortion issue and now 28 Million dollars for that industry, is mere seed money, in his political bid for a hopeful future. Newsom is all about gaining power and influence. He cares nothing for the lives he purports to ensure get snuffed out or the women he appears to be supporting in their decision. When he was last seen coming from the White House – Newsom had a look on his face akin to the “cat that swallowed the canary”. His ambitions will certainly cost thousands of innocent lives and cost the tax-payers of California plenty.
