Dr. Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director Stepping Down Following Two-Year Tenure

Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced Friday she is stepping down from her role. She is set to leave the agency at the end of June. Reportedly, Walensky wrote in her resignation letter to President Biden-

"The end of the COVID-19 public health emergency marks a tremendous transition for our country, for public health, and in my tenure as CDC Director,"… "I took on this role, at your request, with the goal of leaving behind the dark days of the pandemic and moving CDC — and public health — forward into a much better and more trusted place."

Reciprocally, in their letter acknowledging her resignation, the White House thanked Walensky for her service. In the statement Biden said-

"Dr. Walensky has saved lives with her steadfast and unwavering focus on the health of every American. As Director of the CDC, she led a complex organization on the front lines of a once-in-a-generation pandemic with honesty and integrity. She marshalled our finest scientists and public health experts to turn the tide on the urgent crises we’ve faced,"

Adding,… [Walensky] "leaves CDC a stronger institution, better positioned to confront health threats and protect Americans. We have all benefited from her service and dedication to public health, and I wish her the best in her next chapter." …

Furthering the accolades, the CDC, in their statement claimed that under Walensky's  guidance, that it -

"successfully addressed a multinational mpox outbreak, contained the spread of Ebola in Uganda, and responded to countless infectious disease threats in countries around the globe." [Adding that the] "CDC launched a center for forecasting and outbreaks and secured hundreds of millions of dollars to begin modernizing our nation’s data infrastructure,

The CDC also stated by way of reminder, that prior to coming on board at the CDC, Dr. Walensky -

"served as Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2017-2020 and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2012-2020,"

A culture war erupted amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, with many calling into question the CDC's policies and mandates, all in the name of public health. The CDC efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus, as well as its staunch insistence on vaccine mandates, were seen by many throughout the nation, as asserting public health measures that intruded on individual rights.

In an interview with Fox News', Dr. Marc Siegel last year, Walensky said-

"What this pandemic taught us and showed us is that now we need to talk to the American people. We need to say what we know when we know and provide timely data and give people updates along the way. And yes, that also means telling people what we don't know as we're making decisions,"

Supposedly, in the same interview, following her announcement that the CDC is responsible for some dramatic mistakes made during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Siegel said that Dr. Walensky should not be ‘scapegoated’ for the CDC’s blunders on COVID-19. However, she was criticized for not being open with decisions that the CDC did in fact make.

This included being accused of less than honest dialogue, as in the release of school reopening guidance in 2021. Walensky, claimed to have met with parents several times, when in fact, her own schedule at the time noted only one such meeting amounting to 30 minutes. So essentially while parents were granted just one session, teacher unions had constant access to her and other high-level CDC officials while influencing last-minute changes to the guidelines. No wonder she claims to have learned to be more “timely” and says there is a real need to “talk to the American people”.  Talk about 20/20 hindsight.

Americans who stood their ground, against policies, practices and mandates throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic put forth by the CDC are slowly but surely, with studies now happening, being vindicated in their distrust of government mandates. While, many people died from contracting Covid-19, many more who did not follow CDC mandates whenever possible – survived.

And now the truth of the so called “Vaccines” which were nothing more than biologicals produced, in mass by the pharmaceutical industry, is coming out - complete with studies of complications, related deaths and life-long side effects. These revelations are finally coming to light, even in the medical community.  All this while the pharmaceutical industry made and continue to make huge profits as the CDC pushed their “jabs”. Amazing, more 20/20 hindsight.

The CDC and those who are promoted by it, have broken America’s trust. It will take new management, open dialogue without a demanding tone and a more-sincere effort to be truly honest with the American public. This broken trust will take years to repair – if ever.

“That’s the thing about trust. It’s like broken glass. You can put it back together, but the cracks are always visible—like scars that never fully heal.”
