Responding to the CBS News report, claiming Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned a U.S. attorney, to review roughly ten classified documents found in an office, once used by President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump started asking rhetorical questions, as well as others needling legitimately addressed.
Monday night, Trump questioned on his Truth Social account-
“When is the FBI going to raid the many homes of Joe Biden, perhaps even the White House,”… “These documents were definitely not declassified.”

Obviously, Trump was referring to when his home, Mar A Lago in Florida, was raided by FBI agents mid-last year. A mockery of justice, the FBI searched his residence, denying access at the time even to his legal-council, for classified material that the former president, could have removed from the White House when he moved out.
This was in spite of the fact that his legal counsel was working with the DOJ at the time. Reportedly, for some very strange reason, the search included agents going through Melania’s bedroom and closets. Following the raid, some of the seized materials the FBI took included over 50 empty folders and personal affects, totally unrelated to the documents they claimed to have been looking for.
To review documents marked “classified” that were found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, AG Garland assigned the task to the U.S. attorney in Chicago. The FBI is also involved in the U.S. attorney’s inquiry according to CBS News. There were reportedly 10 documents, among other non-classified papers, that were discovered by Biden’s lawyers from President Biden’s former vice-presidential office at the center.
Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president confirmed, that these documents were discovered by Biden’s personal attorneys, on Nov. 2, just before the midterm elections. Sauber said in a statement to CBS News, that these documents were discovered when Mr. Biden’s personal attorneys-
“were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.,”

A source familiar, apparently told CBS News, that the documents did not contain nuclear secrets. However, there is no available information, as to what the documents contain nor their level of classification. Sauber also said, that the National Archives, took possession of the materials the following morning, after they had been notified immediately by the White House counsel’s office.
In a statement made shortly after the report came out, Rep. James Comer (R) KY, the new chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said he would be sending a letter on Tuesday to the White House counsel’s office, and the National Archives to learn more about what had transpired. Comer also acknowledged, that this raises questions about the Justice Department’s alleged double standard in how they handled the Trump probe.
On Monday, Comer asked-
“Is the White House going to be raided tonight? Are they going to raid the Biden’s?” adding “This is further concern that there’s a two-tier justice system within the DOJ with how they treat Republicans versus Democrats, certainly how they treat the former president versus the current president.”
