After The View‘s Whoopi Goldberg, doubled down on her comments about the Holocaust, claiming in a recent interview that the murder of six million Jewish people, during World War II wasn’t racially motivated, Disney’s ABC is coming under pressure to fire her.
Goldberg defended the remarks she made on The View, in January, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times of London, saying that she doesn’t believe the Jewish race exists and that-
“you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them.”

There have been growing calls for Goldberg to apologize, again, and for Disney-owned ABC to fire her, with the hashtag #FireWhoopi, appearing on social media. This has happened since Goldberg’s’ interview ran on Saturday.
Echoing the earlier the remarks, she made in January on ABC’s The View, that led to her receiving a two-week suspension from the show, in Goldberg’s remarks to The Sunday Times Goldberg, she apologized on air and issued an apology on Twitter at the time, saying “I’m sorry for the hurt I have caused.” Reportedly, the tweet has since been deleted.
When she was asked by the Sunday Times, if she still believes what she said, Goldberg said of her controversial comments-
“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race. So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race,’”

Then, when the interviewer reportedly said “Nazis saw Jews as a race,” Goldberg countered with-
“Yes, but that’s the killer, isn’t it? The oppressor is telling you what you are. Why are you believing them? They’re Nazis. Why believe what they’re saying?” adding “It doesn’t change the fact that you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them.”

The latest publicity crisis for the Walt Disney Co., The Whoopi Goldberg controversy tops the list of a non-stop parade of bad news for the company in 2022. Because the company, pandering to its’ employees, has increasingly embraced radical LGBTQ activism, and has incorporated transgender ideology into its entertainment for children, they have been under attack.
Disney, met head to head, and lost, over Florida’s anti-grooming Parental Rights in Education Law. Along the way, the corporation lost its’ protected tax status and major corporate freedoms, when the company picked the ill-advised fight with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) over the parental rights issue.
Literally, with profits down as a result of embracing political views, instead of sticking with family entertainment – Disney is living “Go Woke And Go broke”. With their corporate stock, in an all-time struggle to stay profitable, prompting the recent firing of CEO Bob Chapek, and the return of former CEO Bob Iger, Disney does not need more controversy.
Goldberg’s’ comments demonstrate how exceedingly remiss she has been in her study of ancient history. One of the perhaps oldest religions and peoples, on this planet, the race of persons that make up the Jewish nation far outstrip thousands of former and currently found ethnic nationalities, in history as we know it.
To be of Jewish lineage is to be from an ancient blood line, with an established religion, that has seen much persecution over the centuries. The Nazi’s were one more in a long line of those who have warred against them. However, the Holocaust serves as a poignant reminder of this people, whom Hitler singled out as a race for extermination – in our own century. That 6 million people’s lives were snuffed out, is no small tragedy and not something to be swept under histories rug or denied.
That Ms. Goldberg is so short sighted, means she needs a history lesson or two to bring her up to speed on this very real race of people. Further, that she continues to make public comments denying their existence as a race, needs to be met with by swift action atThe View. Perhaps Disney’s ABC, could assign her a special research report on the subject of the Jewish race, to have her enlighten those listening to her of the actual facts.
