The Department of Homeland Security announced on Wednesday, the creation of its new Disinformation Governance Board led by Nina Jankowicz, a self-made expert on the subject of disinformation. Ms. Jankowicz background is not in mass media/ communications or science / internet technology but rather in political science, language arts and activism.
According to her newly updated page on Wikipedia-
(She) “attended Bryn Mawr College, double-majoring in Russian and political science. She attended a semester at Herzen State Pedagogical University in Russia in 2010, and graduated in 2011. In 2017, she was a Fulbright fellow in Kyiv, working with the foreign ministry of Ukraine. She has also served as a disinformation fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center and as supervisor of the Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute. She is the author of two books “How to Lose the Information War” and “How to be a Woman Online” and has contributed to The Washington Post and The New York Times.”
In fact, she went to London, as an “Author and Global Fellow”, in November of last year to testify as an oral evidence witness in a joint session of a parliament committee, who were set to discuss evidence in their draft of an on-line safety bill.
Jankowicz’s testimony there discussed her recent (January) report generated by the Wilson Center called Malign Creativity: How Gender, Sex, and Lies are Weaponized Against Women Online. She went on to point out that abuse online is not just limited to women but includes many marginalized and intersectional identities, finishing her voluminous complaints with –“It is simply the cost of doing business in today’s internet environment”.
In reading the meeting transcript, her speech was unremarkable as a leftist, though definitely emotionally charged. What is striking was her early address to members of Parliament.

Apparently, it is not ok to show any perceived lack of respect to any gender-related entity, but it is seemingly entirely fine to sound patronizingly elitist in addressing those of equal or higher education of another nation. For someone willing to hold the feet of others to the fire she certainly doesn’t hear her own intellectual bigotry – no matter how unintentional.
Shockingly, these are examples of her qualifications for being tapped as The Department of Homeland Security Disinformation Governance Board Chief. No surprise here. This administration is fraught with persons, if you can address them as such, or entities, that have no firm grip on the real world. Besides being mostly ill qualified for their positions, they don’t understand what it takes to actually be part of American society without having to power posture their way to the top.
Ms. Jankowicz is just one more in a long line of misguided leftists, seeking to gain absolute control over American society. However, this time, their absolutely scandalous focus of attacking our liberty of conscience in free speech has reached new heights. For the sake of what they see as truth, they want to shut up anyone else, especially those who do not agree with their position. This truly open attack on America’s freedom, from within its own borders, is shocking.
This whole thoughtfully organized development is directly related to and follows the democratic lefts’ loss of control of social media giant Twitter of which Ms. Jankowicz is part. Also, other catalysts would seem to be the several recent woke defeats they have faced nationwide.
Make no mistake, because the left doesn’t want to play nice in the sandbox, they are running home to Uncle Joe to ask for the sandbox to be locked unless others will play by their rules. Apparently, they say what goes. The left, in its frenzy to hold its current political sway with those, as Ms. Jankowicz calls them, “marginalized and intersectional identities”, is openly pulling out the stops. November cannot come soon enough.
Congress has got to rein in the Biden administrations clear focused attack on its’ citizens. Biden has really stepped in it this time.
Nina Jankowicz’s argument of the online mockery of :Vice President Kamala Harris, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, to name a few women in public office, as a threat to national security, is nothing more than garnering emotional support for her position and the lefts’ wish to change society into their socialist version of America.
Well ladies and gentlemen, or should I say marginalized and intersectionalized entities - if the heat in the kitchen is too hot - don’t just stand there expecting others to catch you as you swoon - get out of the kitchen!
Cooking (even a thought) requires heat at times which can warm up a room and is to be expected. Don’t expect the literal kitchen structure to be remodeled to accommodate your sensitivity to heat.
Debate is positive, not negative and it allows for the formation of thought. Open, free speech that Jankowicz and her ilk cannot control, she has labeled as a danger to our national security and democracy, claiming on her social media account “Platforms and governments aren’t doing enough,”
Desiring Congress to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and include provisions against online gender-based harassment is where Jankowicz is going with her comments. Her focus is on highlighting the abusive content sent on social media to women in public life, warning that “gender disinformation” could prevent women from running for office. Her means of accomplishing this would be for tech companies and the government to work together using “creativity and technological prowess” to prevent on-line “misogyny”. Wow, bureaucratically controlled speech enabled by big tech. What a frightening concept.
This is one very warped platform. The left is saying – We want to limit certain free speech that is not to our liking, possibly even opposing us, and require everyone to agree that this new way of thinking is ultimately more freedom for us all. How convoluted is that?
This is the Democrats version of assimilation of the American populous into their “Borg”. Maybe we will all need numbers as well, because calling someone a name can possibly be seen as individualistic and perhaps offensive? What hogwash!
