Former presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, now attacking Ron DeSantis, claims Florida “isn’t safe” for black or LGBTQ+ people. Her statement followed the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) issuing a travel advisory for the state. Apparently, the advisory is to meant highlight “how harmful” DeSantis would be as president.
Clinton wrote, adding screenshot images of articles detailing the travel advisory, as well as Gov. DeSantis’s ongoing battle with Disney-
“Ron DeSantis’s ultra-MAGA Florida isn’t safe for people of color, LGBTQ+ people, or even multi-billion -dollar corporations”

Due to what it described as the governor’s “aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.”, the far-left NAACP issued a travel advisory over the weekend, urging black people to avoid traveling through Florida. Ironically, the NAACP board of directors chairman Leon W. Russell lives in Florida.
Without more than opposition to the changes that Floridians have sought from their elected officials, the advisory claims-
“Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color,”

Some of DeSantis supposed transgressions, making the state “openly hostile” are DeSantis efforts to support the legislature in fighting back against the indoctrination of young children by liberal educators, in support of parents who elected a more conservative legislature. He recently signed a series of anti-groomer bills, first passed by the legislature, designed to protect children from the radical woke transgender agenda, continually pushed by the far-left.
One such apparent transgression is S.B. 254, which essentially bans the mutilation of children via what DeSantis called “surgical procedures and experimental puberty blockers.” Another such measure, protects children from sexually explicit adult shows, like drag shows, penalizing establishments that allow children to be in attendance.
And still, other such measures protect women by changing facilities in public buildings and other settings, like detention facilities, by establishing sex-based restrooms. Recently, DeSantis also signed Senate Bill 266, designed to eliminate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in higher education. Apparently, DeSantis has been working hard to complete projects brought forward to him, by the Florida legislature on behalf of the voters of the state.
These, and other legislative changes, sought by their elected officials, supporting their constituents, are the measures for which he has been labeled. Doing one’s job, following the wishes of the voters, who have apparently had enough of the liberal left, having voted for change – is what the left now labels as “hostile”. It would seem that Clinton and the NAACP are very good at fearmongering, whining and complaining over the wishes of an entire state of voters. How childish.
Of NAACP Chairman, Leon W. Russell, himself a resident, , Republican Party of Florida Chairman Christian Ziegler, wrote-
“The CHAIRMAN of the @NAACP lives in Tampa, FLORIDA! True leadership is being willing to do what you ask others to do… time to step up and MOVE. If you think our state is so bad, the @FloridaGOP will help with moving costs”

Russell, denies that he is a hypocrite, taking the lofty higher ground, he said during an appearance on MSNBC, he said it’s all about-
“Humanity.”…adding… “First of all, he [Ziegler] is full of bullshit,” …“Thirdly, quite frankly, we haven’t told anybody to leave. In fact, the NAACP is encouraging folks to stay here and fight. If there was ever a reason to stand your ground, it’s Black people, LGBT community, the immigrant community, women, need to stand our ground in Florida and fight, and understand that that fight is a political fight,”

Citing the measures DeSantis signed into law, to protect Florida residents from the negative effects of illegal immigration, another “civil rights” group, The Hispanic League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) also issued a travel advisory for the state last week. The group clams that measures DeSantis is signing “exposes the extensive impact of Governor DeSantis’ sweeping anti-immigrant, anti-Christian family rampage, harming the Florida economy and further marginalizing immigrant communities.”
The far-left obviously have a disregard for lawful fairness in employment, because Senate Bill 1718, one of the measures they opposed, essentially makes Florida, the first state in the nation to implement full E-Verify for employment. The left is really good at fearmongering and threatening people when they can’t change what they don’t approve of. Someone with years of experience once said – “don’t buy the lie”.
