Business Jet Crashes In California Killing Six, Just Yards From Airport Runway

On Saturday morning, a Cessna C550 business jet, went down near French Valley Airport around 4:15am local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. According to officials, all six people onboard were killed in the crash.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the six victims were pronounced dead on the scene.

Reportedly, the jet was in route to California, after departing from the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

CAL FIRE reported via social media-

"Cessna aircraft down in a field, fully involved in fire,"... "The fire burned approximately one acre of vegetation, was contained at 5:35 a.m. and the incident has been turned over to RSO and the FAA."

It's unclear what caused the plane to tragically crash as it did. At this time, the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified and is on-site investigating the incident. There is currently no information on the passengers involved or the pilot at this time.
