On “Fox News Sunday” Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, joined to its host, to discuss the latest data on the border crisis, how the Biden administration is handling the flow of migrants, inflation, and the race to keep his seat.
In direct conflict, with her stated condition of our southern border by Vice President Kamala Harris, on September 11th in her interview with NBS “Meet The Press”, Cuellar states unequivocally, that our border is not safe - nor is it secure.
He supports that with the number of illegal migrants crossing, documented at 1.7 million last year and 2.7 million this year, adding to this number - the getaways not recorded. Cuellar states-
“that’s over 5 million in just 2 years” (and) “no the border is not secure” (continuing) “we can be compassionate at the border but you gotta enforce the law”

Stating that he contacted the incoming Biden administration, as early as December of 2020, when they were forming their transition team, he said he warned them of what was coming, in the way of a rush of our southern borders, but they have chosen to apply no “repercussions” on those who illegally cross.
Now with number of illegal migrants crossing, released for September, indicating migrant encounters at the southern border have reached an all-time high, the discussion of border security rages on.
Stating as an example lately, where Venezuelans were sent back, he suggested that if we did that with every country, less of those migrants would seek to make their way here by our border. He claims it would help gain control of the illegal migrants crossing, to a degree. Seemingly, a little out of step with what his own administration has done, Cuellar makes a good case for what should be done, evening agreeing that some of what the administration is finally doing – just before the mid-term election, mimics Trump era policies.
This segment is surprisingly very informational from the prospective of a Democrat, who seems very frustrated with his own party’s administration. Hoping to keep his seat in the next Congress, and be able to make some headway, Cuellar makes a convincing argument, on behalf of the need to get our southern border under control.
“Stand up to hypocrisy. If you don't, the hypocrites will teach. Stand up to ignorance, because if you don't, the ignorant will run free to spread ignorance like a disease. Stand up for truth. If you don't, then there is no truth to your existence. If you don't stand up for all that is right, then understand that you are part of the reason why there is so much wrong in the world.”
