Joe Biden may have called President Trump's border policies a big mistake, but it looks like he's the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. Biden's border is the most unsecure border we've seen in decades, and it's only going to get worse this year. Texas Department of Public Safety, Lt. Christopher Olivarez says that this year will be "catastrophic" for our country if we don't do something to secure the border.
In an interview with FOX News, Olivarez said, “We have the most unsecured border that we have seen in decades. … Last year, for fiscal year 2021, between the months of February through October, there were over 397,000 encounters. Now this year alone, fiscal year 2022, same timeframe, five months, from October through February, over 837,000 encounters.” That’s an incredible 211% increase.
These numbers likely do not account for others that slip by unnoticed and cross the border. This outrageous increase definitely demonstrates that what was thought last year to be complete chaos, was just the warm up for this year’s catastrophic onslaught. Texas crime rates and the US economy needs to brace for impact.
Yet again, Biden doesn't seem to understand is that this isn't just a problem for Texas, it's a problem for the entire country. He needs to get up from his nap and close the borders. Policies require focused action - not disjoint, detached leadership who care more about their favorite ice cream flavor.
We can't have an unsecure border and expect our country to be safe. The President needs to realize that he took a ruinous path when he decided put Kamala Harris in charge of this job and not pay attention to the cost of not forfeiting our nations sovereignty.
