Wednesday, in true confabulation form, President Joe Biden boasted that the United States economy experienced zero inflation in the month of July, even though costs of goods and services are still up 8.5 percent from the previous year. He took the opportunity to twist the truth, to his political advantage by stating-
“I just want to say a number. Zero. Today we received news that our economy had zero inflation in the month of July,” “Zero percent,”… “Zero inflation last month.”

More the truth is, the facts do not bear out Joes boasting but rather the truth that, inflation of all consumer prices in July was flat from the previous month, which can be attributed to a drop in the price of gasoline from June’s record highs and a sharp decrease in the cost of airfare. At the grocery store inflation continues to rise. Prices across the board were up 1.3 percent compared with a month earlier, and 13.1 percent compared with a year ago. Rent also increased by 0.7 percent from the previous month; 6.3 percent from the previous year.
So, “Zero” doesn’t work Joe.
Biden went on to twist the truth, indicating that core inflation was down, pointing to the jobs created in the month of July, as if this somehow was more proof that the economy was improving. Somewhere though, he reluctantly admitted the price of some items were up. Then he went on to postulate-
“It underscores the kind of economy we’ve been building,” adding that inflation “may be beginning to moderate”.

As a caveat, Biden warned that the global challenges of war in Ukraine, and possible increased pandemic shutdowns, could still hurt the economy. Essentially his clouded overall assessment of the economy was positive, though more than two-thirds of Americans, are seeing and experience the economy as worsening.
Again, true to his confabulation style, he claimed-
“The economic plan is working,”

In truth, the only plan, is for the government to spend more money, tax more families and use the IRS police to do it, and then lay the blame anywhere but at his own door. Biden and his administration are lying to themselves and the American public, who know how hard it is to make ends meet. It is safe to say, that no one in his administration is struggling to afford nutritious food for their families. And Joe is well fed, by the White House chefs, all at the taxpayer’s expense. The arrogance of these people is beyond reprehensible.
Joe you are not fooling anyone!
