At the World Health Assembly, which begins on May 22, The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) will be pressing for a “global pandemic treaty” to be ratified. The treaty would effectively give the W.H.O. tremendous increases in power and funding, transferring much of the authority for pandemic control from member nations to the U.N. agency.
The Biden administration, specifically the United States Department of Health and Human Services, in January proposed amendments to W.H.O.’s International Health Regulations (IHR) that would eliminate all requirements for the W.H.O. to consult with member governments before declaring a disease outbreak. Basically, President Biden is backing this treaty which would have a significant impact on US sovereignty.
While critics warn about the loss of national sovereignty to a globalist organization, supporters say this is necessary to improve worldwide pandemic response. Either way this treaty is a slippery slope for the member nations.
The Biden administration proposed a radical (by US standards) IHR amendment , which strikes out the existing requirement for W.H.O. to consult with / or attempt to obtain verification from the State Party in whose territory the event is allegedly occurring. Additionally, the amendment causes every subsequent reference in the IHR regarding consulting with the relevant state party, to be erased. Effectively, this gives the W.H.O. director unilateral authority to declare outbreaks.
This is allowing one person to place all the member states under their jurisdiction for health purposes. This radical proposal essentially flies in the face of our own Center for Disease Control, National Health Institute, Federal and State applicable laws that govern the health of American citizens. Who will control your health care?
Why Joe Biden, who can’t even hold a press conference that makes complete sense, thinks that this is a good idea for Americans, escapes reason. Even the The World Council for Health (WCH), a non-profit organization, is opposed to the amended IHR, that would increase W.H.O.’s power. A summary of key points of these amendments that the Biden administration supports, are as follows:
In denouncing the Biden administration’s support of this measure, one congressional member described the measure as an-
“absurd proposal to surrender U.S. sovereignty to the corrupt World Health Organization”-Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ)
Smith was particularly opposed to the proposal eliminating the current requirement for the W.H.O. to consult with governments of its’ member nations, including the United States, before declaring an infectious disease outbreak.
The world stage is fraught with: globalist minded, radically socialistic, climate change focused, power hungry leaders, most of whom do not care about the federalist republic we call The United States of America. Further, these leaders are not concerned with what anyone, within our own sovereign borders thinks. This is not freedom but tyranny disguised as the global health efforts of a few.
What matters to these people is that they find a way to put their political agenda out there, couched in concern for “global health”. Public health practices have become a means to control vast numbers of people worldwide, especially since COVID 19 and the global pandemic. Fear-mongering has become common place. In fact – it is at an all-time high level which needs serious examination.
The Biden administrations involvement with these globalists is not surprising, however their easy relinquishment of our national sovereignty is quite shocking, especially since they wrote these detrimental amendments. Representative Smith and others are to be commended for daring to stand watch and keep America informed and opposing any such proposal that robs America of her Soveriegnty.
Americans, need to stay vigilant regarding these and other negatively impactful summits, that rob America’s freedoms, coming from behind, in the guise of helpfulness.
