On Saturday, at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Washington, DC, elites and Hollywood stars, mocked former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Even, (out in left field) Joe Biden was one of the speakers, who took the occasion to take a pot shot at Carlson, after his recently parted way with Fox News this week.
To an audibly groaning crowd, Biden reportedly said-
“The truth is, we really have a record to be proud of. Vaccinated the nation, transform the economy, earned historic legislative victories, and midterm results. But the job isn’t finished,”. “I mean, it is finished for Tucker Carlson.” Adding…“What are you ‘wooing’ about like that? Like, do you think that’s not reasonable? Give me a break. Give me a break,”

The dinner’s keynote speaker, Roy Wood Jr., in the course of the event, made several lame jokes about Carlson. In fact, in one joke, he alluded to Carlson’s former show as being a “fake news program.” Wood joked-
“Scandals have been devouring careers this year. The Untouchable Tucker Carlson is out of a job. Some people celebrate it. But to Tucker’s staff, I want you to know that I know what you’re feeling. I work at The Daily Show. So I, too, have been blindsided by the sudden departure of the host of a fake news program,”

Comparing Carlson to the racist “white power” movement, Wood Jr. reportedly said-
“Tucker got caught up. Got caught up like that dude from Vanderpump Rules. Text message stuff. I don’t know what Vanderpump Rules is about. Watched it a couple of times, my friends told me it’s like BMF but for white people. Was that Succession? No, Succession is Power for white people. No, Tucker Carlson is power for white people. No, that’s white power. You know what, never mind. Don’t worry about that.”

“We got to get Tucker back on the air, Mr. President, because right now there’s millions of Americans that don’t even know why they hate you,”

Speaking of Carlson’s departure from Fox News, Wood Jr. claimed Carlson “shattered the asshole ceiling” saying-
“I think that we should give credit where credit is due. Tucker Carlson is the first host to get fired from Fox News for something that’s only partially about how he treats women. That’s progress. He shattered the asshole ceiling,”

Sadly, Mr. Wood had nothing creative to say, needing to build his monologue on a rant that centered around Tucker Carlson - who was so obviously effective in making the American public ask questions, that the media elites (the Murdoch’s especially) had to find a way to shut him down. If the crowds response that night said anything, it was that though Wood took a few shots (well-aimed) he obviously missed his mark altogether. Same old left – same old poor taste.
As for Carlson, he is keeping up - despite the fact that he is still under contract to Fox until late 2024. Interesting ploy - keep him on the dole, under contract and take away his air-waves. A sad but consistent testimony to the media elite’s view of free speech, an equally stupid choice for their wallets and a clearly desperate effort to silence Carlson in the course of this election. Hmm…
All the more reason to follow him on Twitter (or wherever he lands) – where he appears alive and well. “America” is “still watching” and listening to Carlson – despite the best efforts of the media elites – no matter the lefts’ lame comments, pot shot name calling or attempts to suppress the facts. Stay tuned America.
