House Committee moves to subpoena Clintons Over Epstein connections

 July 25, 2025

A House Oversight subcommittee just dropped a bombshell by voting to subpoena Bill and Hillary Clinton over their alleged ties to the notorious Jeffrey Epstein and his convicted accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Breitbart reported that in a move straight out of a political thriller, a Republican-led panel pushed forward with subpoenas aimed at uncovering more about the Clintons’ connections to this dark chapter involving Epstein and Maxwell.

Led by Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., the Federal Law Enforcement Subcommittee approved the subpoenas through a voice vote, with no roll call taken to record individual stances.

Subpoenas Target High-Profile Figures in Epstein Probe

This isn’t just about the Clintons—Rep. Perry’s list also includes heavyweights like former FBI Director James Comey, ex-special counsel Robert Mueller, and a slew of former attorneys general such as Loretta Lynch and Merrick Garland.

The goal? To dig deeper into the ongoing investigation by the full House Oversight Committee into Maxwell, who was convicted in 2021 of sex trafficking minors and sentenced to 20 years behind bars.

But here’s the catch—House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., must officially issue these subpoenas before anyone is compelled to testify or hand over documents.

Bill Clinton hasn’t shied away from admitting some connection, writing in his 2024 book, “Citizen: My Life After the White House,” that he flew on Epstein’s infamous private plane, dubbed the Lolita Express, for his nonprofit work with the Clinton Global Initiative.

“I wish I had never met him,” Clinton wrote, reflecting on a relationship he now calls “not worth the years of questioning afterward.” Well, regret might be sincere, but it doesn’t erase the flight logs or the scrutiny that follows when you hitch a ride with a figure as toxic as Epstein.

Adding fuel to the fire, records show Epstein visited the White House at least 17 times shortly after Clinton took office in 1993, raising eyebrows about just how deep those ties ran.

Maxwell’s Conviction and DOJ’s Latest Move

Meanwhile, Ghislaine Maxwell’s role in this sordid saga can’t be ignored—her 2021 conviction on charges including sex trafficking of minors and transporting a minor for criminal sexual activity cemented her as a key player in Epstein’s crimes.

Her 20-year prison sentence sends a clear message, but many still wonder if the full story has been uncovered, especially with connections to powerful figures like the Clintons lingering in the background.

On another front, the Department of Justice recently filed a motion in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York to unseal grand jury testimonies related to Epstein’s indictment.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche urged the court “to release grand jury transcripts” tied to Epstein’s case, a step that could shed new light on the shadowy dealings of this disgraced financier.

While some might cheer this push for transparency, others will likely question why it took so long for the DOJ to act—after all, justice delayed often feels like justice denied.
