Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco just dropped a verbal bombshell on California’s Democratic leadership for pointing fingers at President Donald Trump while Los Angeles burns in chaos.
The Daily Caller reported that Bianco, a contender for the 2026 California gubernatorial race, has accused Governor Gavin Newsom and other prominent Democrats, including former Vice President Kamala Harris, of shirking responsibility for the violent riots gripping LA, instead pinning the blame on Trump while fanning the flames of unrest.
Speaking at a rally for Trump supporters in Coachella, California, on October 12, 2024, Bianco didn’t mince words about the state of affairs in LA.
“She’s encouraging this,” Bianco said of a key Democratic figure, slamming the rhetoric as a direct assault on public safety.
His frustration isn’t hard to grasp when you see the streets of LA overtaken by riots, with reports of vehicles overturned and public property destroyed. It’s a mess out there, and Bianco argues that Democrats are playing a dangerous political game instead of restoring order.
“This is 100 percent the fault of Governor Newsom and every other Democrat who is not jumping up and down demanding that these people go home,” Bianco declared. Well, turns out actions—or in this case, inaction—have consequences.
In response to the spiraling violence, President Trump sent 2,000 National Guardsmen to LA on a recent Saturday to help quell the unrest. It’s a bold move, and one that’s ruffled some feathers in Sacramento.
Governor Newsom, never one to shy away from a fight with the Trump administration, quickly announced on a subsequent Monday that California is suing over the Guard’s deployment. “Trump is creating fear and terror,” Newsom claimed, framing the intervention as a constitutional overreach.
Sorry, Governor, but when cars are burning and rocks are flying, maybe it’s time to focus on the actual crisis rather than courtroom drama. Bianco couldn’t agree more, calling Newsom’s stance a “disgusting lie” that deflects from the real issue of leadership failure.
Adding to the tension, LA Mayor Karen Bass has voiced strong opposition to federal law enforcement actions in the city, particularly targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations. “We will not stand for this,” Bass stated on X on June 6, 2025, doubling down on her resistance.
Bianco wasn’t impressed, accusing Bass of making “inflammatory statements” that only encourage more unrest. When leaders prioritize political posturing over public safety, it’s the everyday Californians who pay the price.
Bianco took to X himself on June 8, 2025, to hammer home his point that Democratic leaders are treating citizens as “pawns” in a cynical power play. It’s a sharp critique, and one that resonates with many who are tired of the blame game.
Let’s not forget the backdrop to all this chaos: California’s recent vote on Proposition 36 in 2024, which aimed to toughen penalties for certain drug and theft crimes. Bianco noted that over 70% of Californians supported this measure, signaling a clear demand for stronger action on crime.
This vote, in Bianco’s view, shows that the public is fed up with soft-on-crime policies and wants leaders who prioritize safety over ideology.
Perhaps it’s time for Sacramento to listen to the people instead of doubling down on divisive rhetoric. After all, ignoring the will of the majority isn’t just tone-deaf—it’s a recipe for more unrest.
