A recent poll revealed a vast majority of U.S. voters are alarmed about potential cheating in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, prompting significant actions by the Republican National Committee.
Breitbart reported that the integrity of the upcoming 2024 presidential election is under scrutiny as a significant portion of likely voters express apprehensions about potential cheating impacting the results. According to a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports, 62% of likely voters nationwide harbor concerns over this issue.
The findings come from a survey completed over September 18-19 and 22, polling 1,114 likely voters, with a margin of error at plus or minus 3%.
Within those concerned, about 40% describe their worries as "very" significant. Meanwhile, a smaller segment of the respondents displayed less anxiety over the election's fairness, with 16% not very concerned and 18% not at all concerned about cheating affecting the outcome.
The concern is not uniformly distributed across political affiliations. While 77% of Republican voters voiced concern over possible cheating, this issue also resonates with 62% of independents and 50% of Democrats. Less concern was reported among 47% of Democrats and 35% of independents, contrasting with only 19% of Republicans.
Voter's growing concerns are vindication for former President Donald Trump who has been sounding the alarm about our elections not being secure. Democrats have spent the past four years calling Trump and other Republicans conspiracy theorists but their concerns are resonating with Americans.
In a direct response to these pervasive concerns, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has initiated what they describe as the most comprehensive election integrity program in U.S. history.
This initiative is co-led by RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and co-chair Lara Trump. The primary focus of the program is to ensure the 2024 election proceeds without fraudulent interference.
The RNC's election integrity efforts are multifaceted, including aggressive legal actions and extensive poll watcher mobilizations.
It has already embarked on 82 election integrity lawsuits across 25 states, showcasing its commitment to securing the electoral process.
Over 200,000 poll watchers have been mobilized for the upcoming election cycle, underlining the scale of the RNC's operation. These volunteers will be assisted by a dedicated command center known as the State Republican War Room, equipped with lawyers to support both poll watchers and voters during the election.
Lara Trump, co-chair of the RNC's election integrity campaign, has made a strong vow regarding the handling of potential election fraud.
"We are also sending a loud and clear message out there to anyone who thinks about cheating in an election. If you cheat in an election, we will find you, we will track you down and we will prosecute you to the full extent of the law," she stated emphatically.
This robust stance reflects growing unease among the electorate, particularly those who believe past elections were compromised.
According to the same Rasmussen survey, 53% of voters think it is likely that cheating affected the 2020 presidential election outcomes. This belief is particularly strong among Republicans, at 71%, but also notable among 46% of independents and 42% of Democrats.
As the RNC continues to ramp up its legal and observational efforts, the broad suspicion of election tampering remains a central issue as the 2024 election approaches. This initiative not only aims to guard against actual instances of cheating but also seeks to restore voter confidence in the electoral process—the foundation of any democratic society.
